Bassman Bruce is a musician with deep roots in central Ohio - his first pro gig was at 15 and he played in various rock cover bands in central Ohio throughout the 70s.   In the 80s he moved in to the college music scene with alternative, metal and AC/DC cover band in Tennessee, then with various rock and blues bands in Florida in the 1990s.     Bruce's finger-style bass ranges from classic rock to back-in-the-pocket blues, funk and old school R&B.  Bruce's vocal range is tenor, similar to Michael McDonald.  Recent gigs include a 2-year stint with Al Smyth's Free Beer n' Chicken Coalition, covering gigs for Soul Satyr and, more recently, working Beatles tunes with the Traveling BeatleBurys.
